A 15-km stretch between Lukung & Phobrang to aide quicker movement towards Pangong
India has been ramping up road infrastructure for better connectivity to forward areas near the Pangong Lake amidst tensions with China.
Work on many roads is currently being carried out in borders areas, especially around Pangong Lake, which has emerged as the centre of confrontation between India and China.
A 15-km stretch between Lukung and Phobrang is being developed that will aide quicker movement towards Pangong. Lukung is on the edge of the lake and is considered a gateway to Pangong Tso.
