In the 5th edition of India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards, 16 Swachh Bharat Mission warriors honoured

President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday termed the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a mass movement that, he said, should sustain despite achievements in last five years after being launched by the PM Narendra Modi government.

“We have seen a good change in last five years ever since the campaign started. But we should not be contented by the achievements and bring down our efforts. Cleanliness is a continuous process,” Kovind said while delivering keynote address at the 5th edition of India Today Group’s Safaigiri Awards 2019.

In 2015, the India Today Group launched Safaigiri Awards to felicitate pioneers and showcase their efforts in changing public attitude towards cleanliness.
