How India Sank Deeper In Corona Crisis

July has been a tough month, particularly for some Indian states, in terms of rising Covid-19 cases — and it has just been over a week. India added more than 1.5 lakh coronavirus cases — or 20 percent of its total caseload — in the first week of July alone.

In comparison, it had added less than half that number — 66,833 cases — in the first week of June. Testing, however, lags this growth. India discovered 20 percent of its cases in the last seven days, but conducted 15 percent of its tests in the same period.
