Temple Car Axle Breaks, Tilts During Procession; None Injured
TENSE moments prevailed during the Ayyanar temple annual festival at Kovilpalayam Thenur in the district on Tuesday when the wooden axle of a temple car collapsed during the procession, in turn, causing the tower structure housing the deity to tilt precariously. No one, including Minister for Transport S.S. Sivasankar who was also present, however, was hurt in the incident, the police said.
