Ever In Doubt? Beadle’s About!

Treble Title Winner Is Ready To Return

IT’S BEEN a little over a year since Peter Beadle left Hereford’s dug-out.

A hat-trick of titles with the Bulls took them from the Midland League to the National League North in the blink of an eye.

He’s had family time, tended to his garden and been out watching countless games with his trusty assistant Steve Jenkins.

But, surprisingly, an offer for a return to the management fire hasn’t quite come in. There have been positive interviews for jobs without quite getting the nod.

But the message is clear – he’s ready for the next challenge.

“You either have a desire to get back in or you don’t,” Beadle told The NLP. “When that flame doesn’t burn anymore, you’re obviously looking to change professions. But we’re still hungry to get back in.

“I must admit, I didn’t think I’d be out of the game for a year. But that’s football. Sometimes someone will lose their job and, within three or four days, be in another one. It’s all about timing and the right job becoming available.”

Beadle has always admitted he feels he has unfinished business at Hereford after his reign came to a sudden end, and he recently re-applied for the job before Russell Slade was appointed.

His three years at the helm saw a relentless run of success at, essentially, a new club that had to quickly find its feet in an unfamiliar level of football.
