DEER ISLE—The boys soccer team lost to Bangor Christian 16-3 on October 1, in a game that was a tale of two halves.
It was a drizzly day and we got off the bus without any energy. We got down early and didn’t respond with our usual hustle to trail 12-0 at the half. We came back in the second half with much more intensity, and though we gave up four more goals, we scored three of our own. Steven Moon scored two goals from assists by Dakota Emrick and Elijah Stinson. Drew Wendell scored a goal assisted by Elijah Stinson. This is the way we need to play for the whole game to be competitive.
