The BBC orchestra I work for the most often is the BBC Concert Orchestra. Their repertoire is usually on the lighter end of the musical spectrum where a rhythm section is involved – commercial TV projects, West End show-type music and backing the occasional pop artist here and there. Both they and the BBC Symphony Orchestra are fabulous organisations, full of brilliant musicians and staff; however, the BBC Symphony will usually play the more experimental and modern classical music.
