Why did you originally decide to move to Hollywood? most?
It was not an easy decision, that’s for sure, but it was something that I had to do. It’s hard to explain but I had tried working in the local paper mill and making good union money like many of the locals, I tried working as an electrician, I even started my own business selling fitness equipment, supplements and clothing. I had a good life, but something was missing and I couldn’t figure out what it was. I had dabbled in acting a bit, I liked it but didn’t really think it was something that just anybody could do. Then one day I saw a girl that I knew from an acting class that I took in Portland, Maine, on Television. She had gone to New York and found work as an actress. That day I decided that I was going to be an actor. Something clicked inside of me and I just knew that was what I would do. I also knew that it was not going to be easy, it is after all called show business. So I knew that I would have to treat it like a business and I knew that I would have some struggles along the way. So, to answer your question, I decided to go to Hollywood because in my mind, that was the best opportunity for me. I do not sing or dance so I felt like New York was not an option, plus I really didn’t want to be trudging through snow as I banged on the doors of my future. Getting to Hollywood became my obsession, it was not a matter of if, it but a matter of when, I would get there.
As a guy, how was dating like for you in a ‘crazy’ town like Hollywood before you settled down and started your family?
