Series techno supremo Scott Smart sat down with his slide-rule, calculator, a stack of results sheets and got cracking. The good news is that there will be no rev-limit reductions, although concession points have been activated.

Basically, everyone bar Ducati would be able to upgrade their engines from a list of approved parts, but just one upgrade be that new cams or whatever. In theory that sounds great – Ducati have the most podiums and wins, everyone else needs to catch up, so here’s the chance to do so. Except it can’t work like that, especially for the less well funded squads.
