How To Stay Healthy While On Holiday!
The Malaysian Women\'s Weekly
|November 2016
While relaxation is the focus when on holiday, why not squeeze in a little workout here and there.
-

We know that holidays are meant to be more about relaxing than working out – but why be good all year around, attending regular gym sessions, yoga classes and lunchtime runs, only to undo all that hard work in a few weeks?
This year, personal trainer Tracy Davies suggests slipping a pair of runners into your suitcase alongside that bottle of sunscreen. After all, staying fit on holiday can be a real mood booster.
You do not need to track down the nearest gym to keep in shape. Tracy recommends mixing in your exercise with holiday activities, such as taking part in a hiking sightseeing tour, combining your sunbathing with a few lengths of the pool or taking a walk on the beach – the uneven sandy surface will help to target your calves, ankles and quads.
“Be realistic with training goals when you are on holiday – do not commit yourself to an hour’s workout each day,” advises Tracy.
Fit it in around other activities and break it down into 10-minute chunks.
