VISITING the Isle of Man can feel like stepping into a time warp because of the gentle pace of local life—but assuming it is a backwards sort of place would be a big mistake, especially when it comes to food. A new generation of artisan producers is leading the way in progressive thinking, building on the island’s strong agricultural heritage to create a vibrant foodie scene based around cooperation and sustainability and winning a slew of Great Taste Awards in the process.
