With her perfectly tousled mane and enviable wardrobe (can we raid it, please?), she’s effortlessly cool… and when I meet her at a Sydney café, I fall hard #girlcrush. She’s come straight from the gym and looks better than I do on a Saturday night out. Clad head-totoe in black workout gear because she’s ‘now obsessed with the gym’, she’s got her long locks tucked under a cap. Am I intimidated? Sure am. But I soon realise she gives me no reason to hate her – Elle’s as real as they get. ‘People never think I’m going to be as nice as I am,’ she laughs. ‘Maybe it’s the whole fashion thing.’

That ‘whole fashion thing’ has netted her a whopping 629K Instagram followers and attracted a celeb fan base including Kim K. But more on that later…

I’ve done my fair share of celeb interviews and they rarely end with a cover star asking me about my aspirations in life, nor with them pausing mid-chat to run and get me a blanket because I’m cold. Is she just putting on an impressive show? Nope, that’s just Elle.

To be fair, the 31-year-old has a lot to be chipper about; she’s riding high in both her professional and personal life. She’s still blogging for TAHU, she’s branched off to release her own self-tan, ELLE EFFECT (FYI it actually smells like roses), she won Cosmo’s Social Media Star of the Year (Fashion) Award and is loved up with former AFL star Joel Patfull, 32 (she’s even sporting a heart tattoo he drew on her arm). While she’s working harder than ever, she’s also at her happiest, crediting Joel and her family for her growing success. Life’s pretty darn rosy for Elle.
