SCOTT Brown made history on Sunday as he became the first Celt to win a title under four different managers – Gordon Strachan, Neil Lennon, Ronny Deila and now Brendan Rodgers.

This fantastic feat underlines the 31-year-old’s length of service in Paradise and the amount of success he has enjoyed but personal plaudits are never something the Celtic skipper wants to delve into too deeply. For him, the collective is always paramount.

“I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing as all these managers have come and gone,” he joked as he spoke to the Celtic View in an exclusive interview. “It’s great, but let’s be honest, it’s not about me, it’s about all the lads. It’s been fantastic this season and we need to push on now.”

There were similar sentiments from Brown on Sunday as the champions celebrated clinching a sixth successive title at Tyne castle following a 5-0 demolition of Hearts, with Scott Sinclair bagging a hat-trick.

That Brown has performed an instrumental role this latest championship success is without question. He is the driving force of the team, a leader and a constant source of inspiration. His consistency over the course of the campaign has been remarkable. But, typically, he underplayed his contribution as he hailed the unity around the club.
