We’re going hunting for noise after some urban exploration

- Greg Leech

Pipe Dreams

We have had our Racing Yellow Street Cup in the ARR bunker for six weeks now and have covered 1450km in that time. The bike has seen a great deal of inner-urban work, centred on short-run errand duties. Here it gets the nod because of its light and easy nature in traffic. You can fling it about like a Frisbee, lane-split with narrow ease and park it in a flash, making it the user friendly option.

I love exploring inner-urban industrial areas; it’s a sickness. Give me a day in and around old factories, ports and lanes over country town meandering any day. Whenever I’ve had the chance, I’ve taken the thing into all sorts of odd areas. In fact, we have been chased out of places by frustrated security guards on a couple of occasions. The bike makes a damned fine getaway vehicle!

One of the bug draw cards the bike offers is a pretty amazing 16,000km service interval. It’s had its obligatory first service (which really just makes sure all is well and includes fluid changes).

Kriega Tail Packs

When it comes to bike luggage, my preference is usually a set of soft saddle bags; you can throw them on and off easily, and they make sense whether you’re packing for a day trip or a months-long adventure.

Keeping Girls On Motorcycles

On any given weekend at your local motorcycle club, you will see throngs of kids blasting around on dirt bikes having a great time. More often than not, it’s at these local club tracks where kids are introduced to motorbikes. Boys and girls (under 10 years old) get out there and simply enjoy riding their bike without too much competition. Not many of the kids or parents care where they finish in the pack — it’s just about having fun.
