More than a feeling

Bathed in sunlight, this Bengaluru home designed by Farah Ahmed Mathias and Dhaval Shellugar of FADD Studio leverages geometric silhouettes to create edgy sophistication

The walls of this garden city residence, styled by Samir Wadekar for the photoshoot, is covered in organic luxury paints from Asian Paints’ Nilaya Naturals. Arjun Rathi Design’s light installation highlights the living room’s pale green Ligne Roset sofa, an edgy floral seater from Mogg, centre tables from Chairs & Company, and an hourglass-shaped table from Cane Boutique

Embracing the wonderful weather of the garden city on a clear Bengaluru day is even more enjoyable from this contemporary home designed by Farah Ahmed Mathias and Dhaval Shellugar of FADD Studio. The effect is not a stroke of luck, it is pure ingenuity on part of this designer duo.

“This residence is a careful and controlled curation of limited elements. Light and restrained colours, soft lines and rounded shapes are the primary languages of this home,” shares Dhaval, adding that, “The design is led by the organic composition of the walls, where the colour palette of paints creates a sense of gentle movement, adding depth and character as you walk through the spacious home.”

Modern graphic lines appear throughout this 3,000 sq ft residence. Indeed, the first element that catches one’s eye is the striking geometry of the ceiling lights in the living room.
