Our client is an elderly lady, the mother of a friend, and we were actually sceptical as to how the first meeting would go. The preferences of the older generation are quite different from the young couples, who are generally our clients. But she turned out to be a complete anti-thesis of our assumptions. Not on y was she open to innovative design suggestions, but also, she is a design enthusiast, and we loved that,’ says Aamir Sharma. He and Hameeda had a particular brief to adhere to: only three bedrooms, the flooring had to be anti-skid, and the owner’s love of nature, art and open spaces, was to be incorporated in the layout and design.
