What gives you the most joy as a designer?

My designs coming to life! Being able to realise and used them in the way they were imagined. Also, recurring clients who trust us for a project or a piece of furniture is very gratifying.

Your greatest achievement...

The Gyaan Project. A year and half ago, it was a way to use our design expertise. It served two purposes—helping artisans receive fair wages for two years, while the proceeds of the sales funded a new girls’ school in Jaisalmer.

Your favourite material...

I’m obsessed with marble! I’ve always contemporised craft, giving it a new lease of life. I started working with wood and embroidery but now I love designing with marble. I find it is really versatile. It’s strong, but has a fragility to it.

What puts you in a creative state of mind?

I thrive on pressure and deadlines.
