Bringing the lush outdoors inside, designers Aamir and Hameeda Sharma refurbish an old Hyderabad home into a Eden-like indoor garden...

Clean lines, vibrant colours, chic furniture and ample space dictate the design of the Bougainvillea House in Hyderabad.

The old structure of the home was put through deep refurbishment to emerge as a modern home for the young family of Avinash and Prachi Agarwal, and their son Viraj. It is a highly customised home, and is therefore dotted with elements which are unique to the family. Aamir and Hameeda Sharma of AANDH, articulated into design the passions and talents of the couple. The beloved bougainvillea blooms of Prachi have found their forever space, indoors, on the vintage doors of the temple, meanwhile the bathroom on the first floor showcases, in brass, the paper-plane making obsession of Avinash when he was a child. “He is a friend of mine, whenever he finds paper, he begins folding it into planes. So we paid tribute to his habit,” says Aamir.
