Delhi-based Petite Pie Shop’s founder, Chef Vanshika Bhatia shares recipes of pies that promise to hit all the sweet spots

INGREDIENTS
1 apple, diced or thinly sliced
100 gms almond powder
100 gms egg
100 gms melted butter
100 gms icing sugar
20 gms flour 1 tart shell Sprinkle of castor sugar Pinch of cinnamon powder Ice cream, for serving
1. Arrange apple slices in the shape of a rose, brush some melted butter and sprinkle castor sugar on top. Bake for 15 minutes at 160o Celsius.
2. Prepare the almond cream by mixing the egg with almond powder, melted butter, icing sugar, flour and cinnamon powder thoroughly.
3. In a tart shell, spoon the almond cream and fill the base. Cover with the baked apple rose and bake again for 12 minutes at 170o Celsius.
4. Serve warm with a dollop of ice cream of your choice on the side.
