In design, as in life, the most perfect outcome can only be the result of a harmonious outcome of the many factors that go into its creation. In Husna Rahman’s case, the collaboration of the different factors was propitious, to say the least – clients with an open mind with whom Husna appeared to have developed an amicable relationship, great synergy between client and designer, Husna’s intuitive understanding of what both the clients desired and the space could support, a stupendous location and eventually also luck, that sometimes underrated element in everything we do and without which we rarely succeed. For her artistic sensibility in its design and execution, Husna received the ArchDaly Award for 2018. It is the most influential award in the world for women architects. It invites projects from young, innovative designers from around the world and Husna is now a part of this elite group of 10 designers for 2018.
