Curves Of Contentment

Starting off with a blank canvas is, for many people, the ideal scenario when facing a large-scale project such as a new kitchen. You are free from the constraints imposed by existing plumbing and drainage, by the position of the windows and the power points, and by structural elements such as supporting walls.

Curves Of Contentment

That’s why the owners of this house in Dunblane, Allan and Debbie Matheson, brought in Kitchens International before their new home had even been built. “This was our first – and last! – new-build project,” says Debbie. “Although we knew we were probably a year or more from requiring it, we wanted to be able to plan everything in detail, and the kitchen was one of the first major blocks in the puzzle.”

The kitchen was designed, built and ready to install – but, unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, the construction period grew… and grew. The one-year build time turned into three. Happily, all was not lost, as KI’s Helen Taylor, who was involved in this project, explains: “We were able to store the whole thing for them – our warehouse team looked after every element until it was time to install, and all was delivered safely.”
