Mangaldas ni HaveliII — a unique restoration and re-use project which has been developed as a Boutique Heritage Hotel in Ahmedabad was unveiled in the very heart of the UNESCO nominated World Heritage City of Ahmedabad.

Located at Gangadhiya ni Pol near Sankdi Sheri, Manek Chowk in Khadia, it is a 150 year old restored residential home developed as a unique hotel. Abhay Mangaldas, Founder Director of The House of MG, and the man behind this project says, “The idea of creating a contemporary space in a heritage building has always appealed to me. I saw an opportunity for doing this in a unique fashion in the centre of Khadia through this project. Though we could have added more rooms to the property, I decided to have an open space that serves as a pol house courtyard to add to the authentic experience of living in a typical Ahmedabad pol.” Sanal Thathapuzha, the architect of the project asserts, “The project journey went through eight rigorous process based stages, over a period of seven years.
