RIP Lefty Kreh
The Complete Fly Fisherman
|April - May 2018
Fly fishing has lost one of its finest. Bernard “Lefty” Kreh passed away on 14 March 2018, and his family and friends the world over mourn his passing. He was one of fly fishing’s greatest pioneers and had a major impact on the way many of us fish today. He is fondly remembered by one of his many friends, TOM  BOYD.

Cockeysville, Maryland – March 14, 2018: The best of us died today. Lefty Kreh. My heart is saddened and I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. Lefty remained the same humble, witty, brilliant man from the first day I met him till his last. His contributions to the sport he loved are endless as he was an unrelenting problem solver and perfectionist. But above all was the man – and what a man. He could and did make everyone around him better. His humour was endless and smiles and laughter followed him like the Pied Piper. Lefty was the most honourable person I’ve ever met, and I’m so proud to say, my mentor.
