SMART, SUCCESSFUL AND AT THE TOP OF HER GAME AFTER 35 YEARS,“THE BODY” PROVES WHY SHE’S STILL THE BUSINESS

Elle Macpherson is fresh from the surf, running her hands through tousled wet hair as she settles on the sundeck at Jonah’s, an ultra private boutique hotel perched high on the headland of Sydney’s picturesque Whale Beach. The entrepreneur is based in Miami these days, and after jetting in for our InStyle shoot with youngest son Aurelius Cy (who goes by Cy) in tow, an ocean swim was mandatory. She grew up not far from here, in Killara on Sydney’s leafy North Shore, and looks very happy to be home. When we meet, her bare yet instantly recognisable face is framed by an enormous straw hat, and she folds two sandy feet into her lap as Cy squeezes in beside her. “We thought you might want to ask Cy some questions,” she says laughing, affectionately wrapping an arm around the 15-year-old’s shoulder. He’s making an appearance in our shoot too, and nods eagerly when asked if there might be a future ahead of him in the world of modelling. “School first, though,” Macpherson insists.
