The Flash returns to save Central City after his self-imposed exile

The last season of The Flash wasn’t jolly for Barry Allen. The Central City speed merchant lost his close pal Caitlin Snow to her alter ego Killer Frost, and realised that the villain trying to kill his fiancée Iris West was actually his future self, called Savitar.
It all culminated in a dramatic finale, with Barry’s victory over Savitar proving to be short-lived when he sacrificed himself to save Central City by walking into the Speed Force – the powerful energy source where speedsters lose physical cohesion and form.
