Thor actor Chris Hemsworth hangs up his hammer for the time being to play a hardened mercenary in Netflix’s action thriller film Extraction, set in Bangladesh.

The Australian actor stars as Tyler Rake, a black-market mercenary hired to rescue Ovi (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. When Rake travels to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on his dangerous mission, he is embroiled in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers.

Meanwhile, Rake is secretly harbouring a death wish, having tragically lost his own son. But that all changes when he forges a strong bond with the kidnapped youngster.
