A 2018 study published in the Annals of Behavioral Medicine looked at over 2,000 middle-aged American women from various backgrounds who’d been asked how often they faced everyday discrimination. ese experiences could include harassment, name-calling or being presumed dishonest or unintelligent. ose who frequently endured unjust treatment were more likely to see their blood pressure go up over the next decade.
