August 2018

It is a hectic day of promotions for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster but Chitrangda Singh does not look a bit weary. Dressed in a bottle green outfit with dazzling gold earrings, she smilingly sails through every interview.

Chitrangda Singh On Co-Star Sanjay Dutt: Romancing The Original Rockstar Of Bollywood Was One Of A Kind Experience

The actress is on a high with Soorma winning over the audience and critics. “It made me uncomfortable that people were ignorant about Sandeep Singh and comfortable about it,” she says. The actress who sends hearts aflutter with her stunning looks made a lifelong impression with her debut performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Everyone will agree that she needs to be seen more often and in roles that justify her immense talent. In a freewheeling interview with Bollywood Life, she speaks about her role in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, working with Sanjay Dutt and juggling between duties of a mom and actress-producer. Excerpts…

How does it feel to be a part of the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise? How was it working with Tigmanshu Dhulia?

There is no other franchise like this one when it comes to the story and characters. Well, Tigmanshu and I were supposed to work in Haasil, which was his first film as a director. I met him in Delhi in 1999. However, things did not work out then. He was in Delhi moving to Mumbai and I wasn’t ready to shift to this city. So, it did not materialise. Tigmanshu is a writer, dialogue writer, director and actor, which makes working with him a totally different experience for any actor.

You are romancing Sanjay Dutt in the film. Did you ever get awed by his persona?
