From Her Dream Wedding, to the Pros and Cons of Being an Actor, Aditi Rao Hydari Gives Us a Peek Into Her Life in a Candid Conversation.
She exudes a raw sensuality that is both appealing and enchanting. Aditi Rao Hydari can captivate your attention with just her eyes, but there’s more to her personality than her flawless beauty. After wrapping up a four-hour long shoot that began at 8 am, she sat down with me for an interview, and answered each question with childlike enthusiasm. From her journey in Bollywood and the south Indian film industry, to her treasured childhood memories, the actor bared it all in this tête-à-tête, giving me more than just a glimpse into her life. This being Femina’s wedding special, she spoke at length about what her dream wedding would be like—the décor, destination, her bridal trousseau, and more. Aditi, who is also a selfconfessed five-year-old at heart who cries as easily as she laughs, spills the beans in this freewheeling chat.
Tell us one thing no one knows about you.
I think one of the largest parts of my personality is I speak softly, and the way I look is gentle and fragile, which is a part of who I am. But what people don’t know about me is that I have a goofy, child-like, free-spirited vibe, which is also an important part of my personality. Very few people see this side and it comes out when I am around people who know me well. I also have dimples on my shoulders.
Have you ever used your innocent looks to get away with something?
I definitely would have taken advantage of it—the puppy eyes do help. I went to a boarding school, and every time anyone wanted extra dessert at lunch, they would send me to get it, as the dining hall manager never said no when I asked. Also, there were times when I would do the silliest things but never get pulled up for it by my teachers. I would keep quiet when I needed to, while others got punished for the same thing. So yes, the sweet looks definitely helped.
