All happy couples remember their first date. They almost always recall the first impression they made on each other. Bad dates, on the other hand, rarely lead to second dates. So yes, there is a lot riding on that first meeting.

Pulkit Sharma, a clinical psychologist and psychoanalytical therapist, tells us what the ideal first date should look like: “There needs to be plenty of easy conversation and enough pleasant distraction to fill in awkward silences. Only when you send out relaxed vibes can the other person let his guard down.”
