Hello, Sunshine!

It’s me! The sun. I’m up here in the sky. But don’t look right at me.
Why? Are you shy?
No, I’m so brilliant that looking at me could burn your eyes and hurt them. Besides, you don’t have to look at me to know I’m here. I light up your whole world!
I guess that’s true.
You bet. My fiery star power gives you light and heat and energy. Why, without me, Earth would be too cold and dark for people and plants and animals to live. I love being a star!
You’re joking, right? You’re the sun, not a star. Real stars are little and twinkle at night.
