They’ve previously gushed about how having time off during the coronavirus pandemic gave them invaluable time with their young son Archie. And it appears the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have put their extra time at home to good use after announcing they are expanding their family.

“Archie is going to be a big brother,” a spokesperson on behalf of the royal couple confirmed on February 14. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.

Accompanying the happy news was a sweet black and white photo of Meghan, 39, resting her head in Prince Harry’s lap, with both parents unable to hide their joy as they flashed megawatt smiles at each other.

And in a sweet tribute to the prince’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, the pair chose Valentine’s Day to share the news. It’s the same day Diana and her then-husband Prince Charles, now 72, announced they were expecting their second child, Harry.
