He might be known as the alpha male in the Big Brother house, but make no mistake about it, Daniel Gorringe is a man in love. The 28-year-old had viewers melting during an episode this week when a surprise video call from his on-again-off-again girlfriend Ana Cannon saw Gorringe show a different side to himself.

“I know I look like I’m big alpha male, but I’m a massive softie at heart,” he tells WHO. “I’m a big, friendly giant and I’ve got a real soft side to me … and seeing Ana is when that side came out.”

Their virtual reunion was something out of a (very 21st century) fairytale, with Gorringe practically brought to tears when Big Brother surprised him with the video call after a heartfelt diary room confession where he explained he was missing Cannon.
