AS HIS WIFE RECOVERS IN SOUTH AFRICA, THE PRINCE HITS THE TOWN IN MONTE CARLO WITH THE MOVIE STAR

Ever since Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III in 1956, Monaco has had no shortage of A-list stars visit its shores. It appears that Prince Albert II has also inherited his dad’s penchant for cool Hollywood blondes. When the prince, 63, needed a date to accompany him to the 2021 Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health on September 23, he found the perfect solution by calling up his old pal, Sharon Stone.

The Basic Instinct actress, 63, oozed old-school Tinseltown glamour in a lilac gown with an elaborate train as she stepped out arm in arm with the royal. During the event, Albert presented Stone with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her “remarkable commitment to women’s empowerment, her outstanding work in medical research and her tireless efforts to help change the world”.

While the evening was held as a fundraiser for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Albert’s wife of a decade was nowhere to be seen. The former Olympic swimmer, 43, is still recovering in South Africa from “complications due to a sinus infection” she contracted in May, which has left her “unable to travel by plane”.
