Survivor season 36 heads to Ghost Island on SABC3.

Season 36 of long-running reality show Survivor (2000-now) is the 8th season to be set in Fiji, thanks to the region’s popularity, says host Jeff Probst. “There are so many islands in the country that we could be here to season 100 and not come close to having used to same island twice,” says Jeff. And they’ve used two islands this season, with the castaways being banished to Ghost Island during the game. “It’s filled with mementos from past seasons, like immunity idols, torches, maybe even a few hidden objects. This is the first time since season 19 that we have an entirely new group of castaways. That’s really cool because we have all-new personalities joining a game that is so well-established,” adds Jeff.

1 Morgan Ricke (29) is a marine animal trainer who loves thriller and true-crime doccies, which she says will help her work out her position in the game and figure out who’s best to form alliances with and who to use for gain.

2 Wendell Holland (33) is a business owner who loves basketball and working with his hands. “I can build anything from a fire, to a house. I like logical facts and evaluate people at face value. I appreciate honesty too,” he says.

3 Army veteran Angela Perkins (42) loves physical tests, saying that she doesn’t shy away from challenges: “I was in the military for 21 years. I’ve worked in everything from combat to psychological evaluations. I am a leader.”
