Secrets and lies: Reneilwe hides her miscarriage to get her fairytale wedding.
Starting a marriage with a closet full with secrets is a recipe for disaster. But for popstar Reneilwe (Amo Chidi), it’s her only option. She’s keeping her recent miscarriage hidden from her fiancé Mzi (Jesse Suntele) days before their traditional wedding. “Their unborn baby was the only thing holding them together. Without a baby they wouldn’t be together,” says Amo. “Renei is worried that he will call off the wedding and leave her for good this time [if he knows the truth].”
And Renei has reason to be worried. Mzi first dumped her in December last year to rekindle his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Pearl (Petronella Tshuma). He couldn’t stand dating Reneilwe when his heart was with Pearl. But he changed his mind and cut ties with Pearl after Renei revealed her pregnancy.
