2019 started innocently enough with Salem celebrating its bicentennial, but huge action was coming as Days launched its 50th anniversary stories throughout January (November 2015 in the US). As Hope (Kristian Alfonso) walked blindly into a wedding with murderous Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove), her ex-husband Bo (Peter Reckell) fought bravely to escape captivity. And while he missed the wedding, Bo arrived at Hope’s honeymoon in the nick of time to stop Aiden from strangling her to death. Hope and Bo’s tearful reunion was interrupted by tragedy when Bo’s torture in captivity led to him dying in Hope’s arms by the end of the month, sparking Hope’s quest for vengeance.
