FARHAN AKHTAR 

Farhan is not just a multi-talented personality, but also someone doing his bit for society. While everyone does their bit as part of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity, that is mostly restricted to organisations. As an individual, Farhan doesn’t fail to make his contribution. Taking women’s liberation as a serious concern, Farhan founded the Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD) in 2013, and encourages sensitization about violence against women, amongst men. In 2014, Farhan was appointed as the Regional UN Women Ambassador for South Asia. As a duty, he encourages men and boys to be leaders of the gender equality movement. Since then, he has been advocating the cause and tries to stand by it, and goes about wooing more people for the cause. Even his endorsements in the past year reflect his attitude to doing what is right and making things right in society.
