The Hollywood icon talks fame, his new film and why he'll never take his success for granted.

With a slew of hit movies — and countless high-profile romances — Brad Pitt is one of the most talked-about stars in the world. But surprisingly, the actor insists he isn’t the type to seek out the spotlight. “I’m shy,” admits Brad, 55, adding that he’s “not at all” as “cool” as the public makes him out to be. “I go to work and take care of my business — like everybody else.” That’s not to say he takes his fame and success for granted. “I know I hit the lottery, no question about it,” confesses Brad, whose brief role as hunky grifter J.D. in 1991’s Thelma & Louise put him firmly on the Hollywood map. “There are so many talented people out there — it’s amazing.
