He made his name in the world of elves and hobbits – and now Orlando Bloom is heading back into the realms of fantasy and magic in Amazon Prime’s

Carnival Row, alongside supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne.

‘From the first time I read the script and saw Cara’s name mentioned, I couldn’t see anybody but Cara in the role,’ the 42-year-old actor says. And we couldn’t see anyone else playing his character, human detective Rycroft Philostrate, who’s in love with Cara’s faerie character Vignette. Talk about a hot on-screen couple! ‘Our characters make this really beautiful connection,’ Orlando shares.

Offscreen, the British actor has made another beautiful connection – with singer Katy Perry, 34. The couple began dating in January 2016 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day this year. ‘She’s remarkable,’ Orly gushes of his fiancée.

The pair are in no rush to tie the knot, though, with Orlando recently admitting he doesn’t want to experience a divorce again – his marriage to Aussie model Miranda Kerr, 36, ended after three years in 2013. ‘It’s important to me that we’re aligned. I’ve been married and divorced and I don’t want to do it again. We’re both fully aware of that and so, I’m impressed by that – and encouraged.’

Before he eventually heads down the aisle, the dad-of-one is thrilled to be part of the eight-part fantasy series.
