Katie Holmes and her daughter are like two peas in a pod, with the actress revealing, “Suri is the most important person to me.”

But their mother-daughter bubble is about to be burst big-time, with Suri’s dad Tom Cruise now reportedly fighting to play a bigger role in his youngest child’s life after years of minimal contact.

Indeed, while promoting his new film The Mummy recently, Tom spoke publicly about Suri for the first time in five years.

“You never know, you never know,” he smiled when asked if his precocious young daughter, now 11, would follow in his acting footsteps.

According to US mag In Touch, the question “triggered something in Tom and made him want to reconnect with Suri even more”.

But our insider goes one step further, insisting that rather than simply inspiring Tom, 54, to push for more time with his daughter, publicly weighing in on her future was the first step in a carefully orchestrated plan to win her back.
