Davina Rankin thought the fallout from being labelled the villain on last year’s MAFS was bad. But she reckons it’s got nothing on morning sickness! “It’s been a very long three months,” says the reality star, who’s exclusively sharing big news with NW – she and her electrician partner Jaxon Manuel are expecting their first bub in November!

Now 13 weeks pregnant, Davina, 28, says she’s thrilled about becoming a mum. “A lot can happen in a year,” says the giddy star, who considers the happy ending she’s found as “a big old f**k you” to her detractors. “This baby’s saved me from being that MAFS girl, it’s like I’m a different person now.” Here, Davina opens up to NW about her tough pregnancy, post-birth surgery plans and the celebrity baby name she’s banned!

Congrats on your big baby news! Are you guys super excited?

Oh, thank you. All of our tests have come back amazing, so we’re just relieved. It’s over the scary period.

How has pregnancy been treating you?

I have probably been the most unlucky person in Australia with morning sickness. No, I’m sure there are a lot more women out there who have done it worse than me, but it has felt like it’s just dragged on forever. I’ve lost six kilos.

From being sick?

Yeah and still even to this day I’m not eating nearly as much as what I would usually. My meal portions are a lot smaller. And also I haven’t trained for, like, three months. So I’m losing muscle as well.
