Greece Is The Word

A few years ago, I made it my mission to explore Europe. The fact that we have so many rich cultures and countries right on our very doorstep was something I found myself overlooking time and time again; so, I put a self-imposed hiatus on long-haul, instead opting for stone’s throw getaways. I have but one rule: to not visit the same country twice, but the exception to that rule is Greece. My husband and I jetted to the Greek island of Mykonos in 2014 and what we found there was everything we’d hoped our honeymoon the previous year would be, but sadly wasn’t. So in love with Greece we felt that when the chance presented itself to visit the mainland, specifically the Halkidiki region, we were on a plane faster than you can say ‘Opa!’ Did Halkidiki live up to my high expectations, I hear you cry?
