GLOBAL MANUFACTURING LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (GMLP) IS AN INITIATIVE THAT HAS GROWN BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS. POONAM YADAV, GROUP HEAD TALENT STAFFING - GROUP HR, ADITYA BIRLA GROUP, TELLS ITS STORY

MANUFACTURING LEADERS OF TOMORROW

A PREMIUM AND EXCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP program of the Aditya Birla Group, which accelerates the development of middle and senior level talent to become leaders who can take on challenging roles in various functions at our plants. We mould manufacturing leaders of tomorrow through exposure to world-class technologies and processes, state-ofthe-art research and development facilities and continuous learning and development opportunities.

GMLP is a unique programme from the Aditya Birla Group. How has the programme grown and what are its advantages?

GMLP started in 2011 and that was our first batch. It took us time to create awareness across manufacturing professionals, but the programme has built strength by strength every year with the applications surpassing previous years. We receive applications from professionals working in Indian companies as well as global multinationals. We receive significant number of applications from diverse industries as well as geographies. GMLP provides the selected member to be groomed on the skills for a leader while working in the manufacturing locations. It is a platform which provides a second chance to manufacturing professionals to reignite their careers by joining the GMLP programme.
