Hyundai’s Grand i10 Nios is the perfect car for you

A LOT MORE

The word ‘Nios’ means ‘more’ in Irish, and that word most accurately captures the essence of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. In every aspect, the car offers that little extra beyond the status quo. The Grand i10 Nios is a sporty hatchback that is comfortable in its shoes; it doesn’t need to pretend to be a crossover. A bold, glossy black, cascading grille greets you upfront, with swept-back projector headlamps flanking it. Boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and projector fog lamps add additional character to the front end. From the side, the first thing you’ll notice is the large Daylight Opening (DLO), which allows a lot of light to enter the cabin.

The floating-roof effect is reinforced by the blackened-out C-pillars, which come adorned with unique G-i10 badging as well. The sweeping body lines break up the monotony of the sides and give it the appearance of moving while its standing still. Diamond-cut alloys are well-suited to the proportions of the car and give it a menacing stance on the roads.

From the back, the Grand i10 Nios is unmistakably a Hyundai, but if you had any doubt, the Hyundai logo in the middle of the hatch clears things up. A subtle spoiler and wide-set tail-lamps round out the rear. Overall, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is a great car to look at, and that’s only helped by its stunning aqua teal paint job.

2025 KTM 390 ADVENTURE

What makes a perfect shot? It's a cocktail of many elements — the right settings, correct gear, and a great environment. But more often than not, the defining factor behind a killer image is a giant pair of cojones — belonging equally to rider and photographer. Naturally, a few loose screws help, too. Thankfully, and rather coincidentally, Manaal and I align on this philosophy. How else would he willingly hoist a 21-inch wheel right up to my wide-angle lens, trusting that neither of us will cross paths catastrophically? We do have enough screws in the right places to not swap positions... Well, at least, that's what we tell ourselves.
