Making vital Choices

Whether it is maintaining your precious car or undertaking a major project, you need to make an all-important plan of hoW you are going to undertake the job.

THE MOST CRITICAL STAGE OF any restoration, serious rebuild or correct maintenance of your much-loved car is at the very outset.

Why? Because that's when you form the plans of how you will undertake it, with whose help and to what standard.

That will bring it down to two categories, both of which we have indulged in personally! When I bought my first Jaguar my main goal was not merely to bring it back to what I considered fine condition - I wanted to modify it too in order to make it just that bit more special.

In hindsight, my Jaguar was already twelve years old and had suffered a pretty hard life. It certainly was not worth spending a lot on to return it to original - in my opinion. I did have a lot of enjoyment with it in sporting and even concoursing. Times and attitudes have changed totally, and now I would NEVER want to modify my Jaguar in any way - even though it is now more that twelve years old! It was pristine when I bought it and I want it to remain exactly that way.
