Rajasthan is the largest state and seventh in India. The states transport system has been its economic growth driver and the backbone of its development. As per the data released in the 'Statistical Year Book' by the Transport Department of Rajasthan, Government of India(Gol), the count of Commercial Vehicles in the state of Rajasthan up to FY2020-21 stood at nearly 14 lakhs(13,99,823 precisely) and during the year FY2020-21, it stood at 42,518. The data also hinted that the demand for freight and passenger movement in the state of Rajasthan has increased over years. Based on the analysis, the state has proved to be investors' paradise in terms of transportation and automotive manufacturing. Deemed as a developed ecosystem for tier suppliers and ancillaries looking to expand their manufacturing footprint or geographical reach, those willing to turn to the Northern state can take confidence from the presence of Commercial Vehicle majors like Ashok Leyland, TAFE Tractors, JCB, followed by other automotive major manufacturers such as Hero Motors, Honda Cars, Honda TWO-Wheelers in the state.
