Heading to new highs

We planned a mega adventure which included two Skoda cars and entire Europe

This was the biggest drive under-taken by Indian automotive journalists till then and the geneses of this drive lie in a plush office that seemed to have been picked off straight from the sets of a movie set in the 19th century. We had just been told that the Skoda Yeti would not be able to go across Russia because of the quality of fuel available there and that the new Yeti that had not even been launched in India as yet was available in Europe only with a DPF.

Vitoldas Milius, whose friend’s office we were in, and I got thinking. We wanted to do a circuit and to places where having Indian passports would not be a problem. Ok – all the Schengen countries but what about them? Since the Yeti is a creature of heights so maybe all the highest points of all the countries we could easily go to and start and end the drive in Prague – home of this or rather these particular Yetis.
