Apollo Aerospace to Increase Local Sourcing

As a stocking and distribution company, it procures components from different suppliers and optimises the cost and other parameters by customising to the client’s requirement and apply for certification and supply to the OEMs or tier-one companies.

Gopu Sundararajan, General Manager, Apollo Aerospace Components India, told Auto Components India, “We would like to sponsor SMEs by giving sizable orders. As we have customers and suppliers in the global market, we could tap the correct OEMs and tier-1s and get the orders and in turn support the local manufacturers. We have started doing this from last year (2016) and initiated our local sourcing. We sponsor different suppliers and get the certification done from OEMs’ end. We have aligned our investments in this space and will supply to global markets sourcing locally.”
