Recently, the staff of Cat Talked asked our feline correspondents to let us know what kind of impact the lockdown/ quarantine was having on them and their households. Here is a sample of the responses we received.

Letters from Lockdown

My Humans Need Me

I don’t know why the humans are suddenly home all the time. One day they were happy and carefree and the next they were sitting on the couch all day binge-watching the noise box. I couldn’t stand to look at them just blankly staring at the screens so I changed my routine a little for them. I started sitting on the sofa next to them, or on the back near their heads, or sometimes on their laps. I would purr to let them know I was there. At first, I didn’t see any difference, but eventually they started to pet my fur and show signs of life. Sometimes they would take a nap with me, but more often they would get up and do something to make our home nicer. One thing’s certain, they talk more to me. I like that. I sure hope they can get back outside again soon, but for now I’ll just make sure they don’t get lonely.
